Troubleshooting

OMF Tool is a free application that converts an OMF file into a ProTools session. We recommend that you convert your OMF file prior to sending your drive or CDs to the post house. Many OMF problems can be discovered quickly with this simple tool.

If OMF Tool fails to convert a file, try quitting the OMF Tool application and relaunching it.

If OMF Tool fails to link with the SDII files, there may be too many audio files. Try exporting each audio track separately.

Audio crossfades can create havoc on an OMF file by leaving gaps in your sequence that will ripple your audio track. If rendering all crossfades does not help, try eliminating them from your sequence entirely.
